Job Description

Job Title: House Manager & Family Assistant (with Meal Prep Support)

Location: Bradenton, FL 34203

Employment Type: Part-time (20-25 hours/week)

Schedule: Flexible days (3–4 days per week), with flexible daytime hours

Compensation: $28–32/hour

Start Date: ASAP

We are a warm and loving family living in beautiful Bradenton, FL. Our home is filled with laughter, love, and a lot of energy! We have a sweet 16-month-old daughter who keeps us on our toes, three playful dogs who are truly part of the family, and a grandparent who requires ongoing care and support due to a serious health condition. Life here is full in the best way, but we truly need an extra set of hands to help keep everything running smoothly and make room for quality family time.

With one parent working from home and the other working in healthcare, we are always juggling schedules and responsibilities. Who You Are / What We're Looking For:

We need someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and patient who will seamlessly integrate into our supportive family environment. You are warm and approachable, with a calm, professional demeanor that brings structure to our busy lives. The ideal person will proactively identify ways to make our lives run more smoothly without needing constant direction..

The main priorities in this role are overall tidiness, laundry, meal planning with occasional cooking, managing inventory, and creating overall systems that make the household run smoothly.

You are a tech-savvy, natural problem-solver who enjoys building efficient systems that make busy days feel easier. You are trustworthy and comfortable providing occasional childcare. Above all, we want someone who can contribute to our home with a positive, gentle, and caring approach while ensuring everything stays organized and runs smoothly.

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, playroom)
  • Reset and tidy rooms daily, ensuring home is prepped for monthly cleaning services
  • Oversee household schedules and calendars (familiarity with Amazon Echo Show and other tech preferred)
  • Periodically prepare for guest stays, family events, and holidays
  • Support packing/unpacking for travel 1x month or seasonal transitions
  • Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas

Inventory Management & Errands

  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies, and build systems within the available space
  • Create and manage running household supply lists
  • Coordinate and manage household orders (Instacart, Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
  • Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, gift shopping

Meal Planning & Preparation

  • Plan and prep healthy meals/snacks for the whole family
  • Batch-cook weekly meals 2x per week and preparing grab-and-go lunches
  • Gather family favorites into an easy-to-follow recipe book
  • Shop for groceries and meal-related items
  • Follow dietary preferences (daughter is dairy-free)
  • Clean kitchen post-prep and maintain kitchen tidiness

Laundry & Linen Care

  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (clothing, bedding, towels)
  • Iron, steam, and prepare outfits as needed
  • Manage linens: rotate bedding, refresh towels, and restock essentials
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies
  • Handle special care for delicates or uniforms

Vehicle Management

  • Ensure family vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and organized
  • Clean out and vacuum car seat

Vendor & Property Oversight

  • Oversee outdoor spaces and seasonal maintenance needs
  • General tidying around pool
  • Serve as primary contact for vendors or guests

Family Support & Child Assistance

  • Help with child-related laundry or errands
  • Occasional childcare/date night support
  • Back-up daycare pick-up/drop-off

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

  • Tackle occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards, etc.)
  • Maintain and refresh specific areas (entryways, garage, mudroom)
  • Organize special projects (toy rotation, family recipe book, seasonal decorations, gear rotation)

Administrative & Personal Assistant Support

  • Help with travel planning, scheduling, and logistics
  • Manage family calendars and reminders
  • Research local activities/weekend events for the whole family

Pet Care

  • Occasionally care for dogs (feeding, walking)
  • Comfortable administering medications 
  • Ensure supplies are stocked and organized
