About Our Family

We are a busy family of four with two children (ages 6 and 9) and a cat, managing the demands of both professional careers and raising kids. With one parent working from home on select days and the other balancing travel with a role in hospitality, our household thrives on a rhythm of coordination, organization, and flexibility. While our days are filled with kid activities, school pickups, and work commitments, we cherish our evenings together, even if they often come with a fast-paced turnaround.

As life continues to get busier, we're seeking someone who can help streamline our home life, bringing order to the chaos and creating space for us to connect as a family. We value structure but also appreciate the flexibility needed to navigate our children's growing needs and after-school activities. We're especially looking for someone who can assist with picking up the kids from school, providing them with a calm, supportive environment where they can unwind after a busy day before their extracurricular activities begin. Our ideal candidate will be a trusted partner who helps manage the day-to-day details, supports the kids' routines, and ensures our home remains organized and welcoming.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive individual who can balance both house management and childcare duties. This is a dual role, where you'll take ownership of household tasks while also providing critical support for our children after school and camp. You'll be responsible for picking up the kids each day, creating a calm environment where they can unwind after a busy school day, and guiding them through their routines before extracurricular activities. You should feel comfortable stepping in to assist with light homework, helping the kids stay on track with their responsibilities, and engaging them in activities that foster creativity and fun during their downtime.

You will manage household tasks with initiative, including organizing spaces, handling errands, and supporting household logistics, but the core of your role will be supporting the kids' well-being and giving them the attention and care they need after school hours. We need someone who is proactive in managing both responsibilities, balancing their time between supporting the kids and keeping the house running smoothly.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Is comfortable with a flexible schedule, taking on both household management and childcare tasks each day.
  • Has experience working with children and is able to provide thoughtful, engaging support after school and camp.
  • Can create a calm, structured environment for the kids after school, helping them with homework and guiding them through their routines.
  • Is comfortable with school and extracurricular pick-ups, and can smoothly transition the kids from one activity to the next.
  • Takes initiative in household management, from organizing spaces to scheduling maintenance, while ensuring the kids' needs come first.
  • Understands the importance of a structured routine and can help enforce household rules and expectations, including managing screen time and encouraging positive behavior.
  • Can work independently, with a proactive approach to managing both high-level organization and day-to-day tasks without requiring micromanagement.

If you're someone who thrives in a dynamic household, enjoys engaging with kids, and excels at balancing multiple responsibilities with ease, we'd love to hear from you.
