About Our Family

We are a close-knit family in Middleton, Idaho who deeply values time together and being present with our children. We love enjoying the outdoors, swimming, camping, and making the most of each season together. Our family includes three young children, ages 7, 4, and 1, as well as our 21-year-old adult son, who is independent and not part of the day-to-day childcare responsibilities of this role. We also have a beloved 12-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback. We're a busy, active family with three young children, so our home is often full of energy, noise, and at times a little chaos. We don't expect our home to always be calm, but we do value having a home that feels organized, well cared for, and intentional. We're looking for someone who is comfortable stepping into real family life and naturally brings a warm, steady joyful presence while helping our days run a little more smoothly.

Our Christian faith is a big part of who we are and how we raise our children. We love Jesus, are actively involved in our church, and the Bible is part of our everyday family life. We want our home to reflect those values and are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a home where our faith is openly lived and talked about. Our 1-year-old will be an important part of the House Manager's day-to-day role. Our older children are in school during much of the workweek, with additional care needed when they are home and during some evenings and weekends. Dad works primarily from home with occasional outside meetings, and Mom manages the home while also working in real estate. Having consistent, trusted support with childcare and the household will allow both parents to give focused attention to work and other responsibilities while also creating more space for our marriage, faith, and time together as a family.

We live on a four-acre property with a one-acre pond and ongoing outdoor projects as we continue turning the property into our long-term family home. Because portions of the property are still in progress and are not yet fully child-safe, childcare will primarily take place indoors for now.

Ultimately, we're looking for someone who wants to become a trusted, long-term part of our family's rhythm—someone who can take meaningful ownership of the household's day-to-day needs, genuinely enjoys being with our children, and helps make home life feel a little less hectic and a little more manageable.Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are a calm, warm, capable professional who genuinely enjoys supporting both a home and the people within it. You bring a quieter, grounded presence—you can engage, play, and connect with children without bringing unnecessary chaos or noise into the home. Childcare for our 1 year old will make up a significant portion of this position, so you genuinely enjoy working with young children and understand their developmental needs.

You are creative and engaging while also being comfortable maintaining healthy boundaries, supporting transitions, and helping children finish and reset one activity before moving on to the next. You are equally comfortable shifting into House Manager mode. You see the dishes and handle them. You notice when household staples are running low and add them to the list. You can move through laundry, meal prep, household resets, and organizational projects without requiring constant direction.

You are a proactive self-starter who appreciates clear expectations. You take the time to learn how the family prefers things to be done, from food preparation and laundry to household routines, and once those preferences are established, you can confidently work from a running list and manage your responsibilities independently. You are comfortable asking thoughtful questions rather than making assumptions, and you understand the difference between taking initiative and changing established household systems without approval.

Above all, you are dependable, flexible, trustworthy, and aligned with the family's desire to create a wholesome, intentional, and supportive home environment.
