About Our Family:

We are a busy family who values a calm, organized, and welcoming home. With a young child who keeps us on our toes, two adults balancing demanding jobs, and frequent travel, we find ourselves needing extra support to keep everything running smoothly. In addition to our busy lives, we also live on a property with goats and chickens, which adds an extra layer of charm (though you won't be responsible for their care).

As we often travel for work, we're looking for a trustworthy, proactive individual who can lend a helping hand in organizing our home and creating systems that keep everything running smoothly. We want our home to be a place of peace and togetherness, where we can truly focus on enjoying each other's company, and we need someone who can help maintain that balance.

The right person will be able to step in, manage household tasks like organizing, tidying, and meal prep, and offer light, light childcare support. The goal is to create more space for us to enjoy family moments while ensuring our home remains well-maintained and stress-free.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and reliable individual who can integrate into our family life. The ideal candidate is:

  • Organized: Able to create and maintain household systems, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Flexible: Able to adjust to our evolving needs, including occasional school pickups or coordinating with vendors.
  • Proactive & Independent: Can anticipate needs and take the initiative with tasks.
  • Communicative: Friendly, approachable, and comfortable with both children and around animals, providing light supervision and engaging with our daughter when needed.
  • Trustworthy: Able to manage tasks independently and provide a sense of calm organization in our home.

Key Responsibilities:

Household Management & Organization:

  • Create and maintain household organization systems
  • Daily resets and prep home for cleaners (every other Monday)
  • Light tidying (dishes, surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas)
  • Seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding)
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
  • Event/holiday/guest prep
  • House sitting duties while family travels (e.g., watering plants, etc)

Inventory & Errands:

  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies
  • Manage running household supply lists
  • Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target)
  • Handle returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
  • Manage mail and package handling
  • Breakdown boxes

Meal Planning & Prep:

  • Plan and prep 2-3 meals per week
  • Ensure meals are healthy, protein-forward, and kid-friendly
  • Shop for groceries and meal-related items
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen

Laundry & Linen Care:

  • Wash, fold, and organize laundry
  • Handle special garment care (ironing/steaming)
  • Linen rotation
  • Maintain tidy and well-stocked laundry areas

Vendor & Property Oversight

  • Occasional research/coordinate repairs and quotes
  • Seasonal property maintenance
  • Manage and refresh outdoor spaces (pool, patio, front porch)

Family Support & Child Assistance:

  • Pick-ups from school or activities as needed
  • Support with after-school routines and snack
  • Light supervision / back-up childcare
  • Kid-related errands

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects:

  • Occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven)
  • Refresh mudroom and pantry organization
  • Organizational projects (toys, gear, seasonal or holiday decor)

How to Apply:

Please submit:

  • A short letter introducing yourself and explaining why you'd be a great fit.
  • Your updated resume.
  • Three professional references with contact information.
