Job Description

Perform custodial services to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for Veterans, staff, and visitors. This role is not located in patient care areas.

$43,680 - $45,760 a year

Primary Location: 1601 East 4th Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA.

Schedule: 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM (Monday -Thursday or Friday- Monday)

Responsibilities

•* After-Hours Maintenance: Execute specialized cleaning of elevators and stairway floors, which must be performed after 5:00 p.m..

•* Facility Safety: Properly display wet floor signs and safety warnings; ensure no personnel need to cross wet surfaces to access areas.

•* Consumable Management: Restock soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue to ensure no restroom is empty during operating hours.

•* Equipment Care: Maintain Housekeeping Aide Closets (HAC) in a clean and orderly fashion; report any Government-furnished equipment malfunctions (vacuums, scrubbers) immediately.

•* Reporting: Notify the Shift Leader of facility defects such as dripping faucets or loose door frames found during cleaning rounds.

Requirements

•* Security: Must successfully pass a Tier 1 Background Investigation (NACI) and fingerprinting prior to starting work.

•* Uniforms: Must wear a standard, neat, and recognizable custodial uniform with appropriate closed-toe safety footwear.

•* Compliance: Complete annual VA Privacy, Information Security, and Bloodborne Pathogen training.
