Job Description
Position Summary:Performs all housekeeping duties as assigned that are required on a daily basis for the patients, public and personnel of the Hospital and Clinic.Excellence in Practice:
- Does the cleaning in all areas of the hospital and clinic as designated in assigned areas by dusting, mopping floors, washing furniture and walls with cleaning solutions and disinfectants and leaves the area in an orderly and attractive condition.
- Wash beds and units in the prescribed manner and empty waste baskets from designated areas.
- Selects materials and supplies as appropriate for the assigned task. Knows the chemicals used and the procedure for their use.
- Notifies the supervisor when supplies are low.
- Work results meet inspection standards set by WRHS.
- Reports any mechanical failure or conditions that need to be repaired or corrected using a repair requisition form.
- Knows the procedure for all types of isolations.
- Does other assigned duties as required.
- Is able to set priorities and able to adapt to changing conditions.
- Is able to work independently effectively and efficiently.
- Keeps housekeeping manager informed of changes in workload due to activities in area.
Experience: Maintain a professional, friendly, and caring attitude; learn skills from on-the-job training.
