Housekeeping Houseperson

For some, traveling and being away is fun; however, many travelers miss being home. Our Housekeeping team makes our hotels feel like home. As a Housekeeping Houseperson, your contribution helps ensure guests have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. This position is Full Time and would be scheduled for 1st shift (8am-4:30pm),  Monday - Saturday and (9am-5:30pm) on Sunday, and you would need to be available weekdays and weekends.What will I be doing? As a Housekeeping Houseperson, you would be responsible for the cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas, and assist room attendants in order to maintain Crescent’s high standards of quality and cleanliness.

The Hilton Columbus/Polaris is currently seeking a full time Housekeeping Houseperson for our 252 room full service AAA Four Diamond hotel located in the vibrant Polaris community. As a Housekeeping Houseperson, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants; may include taking supplies directly to room attendants.

Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash.

Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors. Polish and clean mirrors, room numbers on guest room doors, and elevator doors.

Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers.

As a full time associate you will be eligible for partially employer paid health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 100% employer paid life insurance at one times your annual salary available on the first of the month after 60 days of employment. You will also be eligible for participation in our 401K program after 6 months of employment, during monthly enrollments, with a match of 50 cents on the dollar up to 6% and a 5 year progressive vesting schedule. You will also accrue vacation and personal time each paycheck at a rate of 5 days of vacation and 4 personal days after one year (these accruals are based on the average hours you work.) After three months of employment you can begin utilizing any accrued personal time and after six months of employment you can begin utilizing any accrued vacation time. Full time associates also receive holiday pay for seven paid holidays a year.
