Friendly Village is looking for their next Housekeeping/ Laundry Supervisor! We are a skilled nursing living facility that's located in Rhinelander, WI.

Position: Housekeeping/ Laundry Supervisor

Friendly Village is seeking a full-time Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor. In keeping with our organization’s goal of improving the lives of the Guests we serve, the Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor plays a critical role in providing superior customer service and housekeeping services to all Guests in the facility.

The Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor is responsible for the planning, development, and overall operation of the Housekeeping Department which ensures the facility is maintained in a clean, odor free, and safe manner.

Essential Functions include but not limited to:

• Plans, directs, and supervises the activities of the housekeeping and laundry staff.
• Responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of Guests rooms and all areas inside the facility as well as outside and the entire property.
• Ensures the facility is kept cleaned, sanitary, and odor-free at all times in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
• Responsible for operating the Housekeeping Department within budgetary guidelines and limitations.
• Completes annual performance reviews of all subordinate staff. Provides guidance and education to staff in regard to their performance.
• Responsible for training and educating staff members.
• Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times. Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
• Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, and supply issues to the appropriate persons.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of Guests/guests and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment.
• Must answer and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in Guest care areas.
• Assist with new admissions, and re-admissions and assist with the transfer of Guests to different rooms within the facility.
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Guests, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.

Schedule: 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Housekeeping/Laundry: 1 year (Required)
• Supervising: 1 year (Required)
• Long term care: 1 year (Preferred)
