ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Housekeeping Lead will assist management in the delegation of work activities to housekeepers, to ensure clean and orderly assigned areas, including, disseminating duties, inspecting work, etc. The position will also take periodic inventories, assist in training new employees. This position requires a high level of housekeeping policies and procedures, cleaning products and services.

Hourly Pay: $19.00 - $20.49/hour

Work Schedule: Tuesday- Saturday / 7:00am- 3:30pm

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Obtain a list of areas that are assigned to be cleaned daily, assign housekeepers their duties and inspect work assuring that the housekeepers are cleaning their areas to Skechers expectations.
• Monitor and control inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies.
• Cleans offices, restrooms, break rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, emptying of trash receptacles and maintaining their cleanliness. Restocking of necessary supplies in areas as needed.
• Reporting any safety hazard, unsafe working conditions, and any items to be repaired or replaced to the Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor as soon as possible.
• Responds to any calls for service such as spills, broken glass etc. or housekeeping staff needing help.
• Provide guidance and direction to housekeepers, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
• Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service, analyzing information, and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve the problem; bring solution to Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor.
• Identify the developmental needs of staff and coach, mentor, or otherwise help housekeepers to improve their knowledge or skills.
• Preform day-to-day administration tasks such as maintaining information files and processing any paperwork.
• Make recommendations to improve housekeeping service and ensure more efficient operation.
• Step in for housekeeping staff as needed
• Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 2 to 3 years of housekeeping experience in custodial work

Pay Range $19.00 - $20.49
