Job Description

SBM Management is hiring a Housekeeping Specialist! The Housekeeping Specialist will be responsible for performing housekeeping functions based on standards and procedures. The specialist will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Preforms housekeeping and laundry activities to ensure the highest level of cleanliness.
  • Inspect rooms, public areas, & heart of the house for cleanliness.
  • Manage and maintain supply and linen inventories.
  • Ensure requests are responded to in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner.
  • Report all maintenance issues in a timely manner.
  • Performs all duties listed on the daily schedule.
  • Operates motorized cleaning equipment.
  • Manages and maintains daily upkeep of assigned area(s).
  • Reports incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stops at risk behavior of others and self.
  • Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
  • Perform repetitive tasks.
  • Maintain clean work area.
  • Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
  • Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
  • Fill in during staff shortage.
  • Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
  • Use proper personal protective equipment.
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct.
  • Understand customer service and satisfaction.
  • Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience is not required
  • Experience in Environmental Services is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in verbally and in writing; ability to understand emergency instructions and basic safety terminology is critical
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred
  • Comfortable with routine and repetitive work routines
  • A pre-employment background check and drug screening will be required
  • Housekeeping / Janitorial Experience in healthcare

Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
