The Firebrand Hotel is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to work with our team.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the housekeeping and laundry staff to maintain the high cleaning standards of the company. They ensure each member of the housekeeping team carries out their assignments efficiently with a high standard of integrity and professionalism.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works as a housekeeping attendant as needed
- Resolves guest complaints promptly
- General office duties, schedules and attendance tracking
- Maintains strong relationships with team members
- Trains new employees on daily duties, safety, cleanliness, and disposal procedures
- Orders supplies
- Reports and follow up on necessary maintenance issues
- Follows departmental policies and procedures F
- Follows company policies and procedures and other duties as assigned by the GM

- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, over the phone, with staff, senior management team and owner

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to read, speak and understand the English language
- At least two years of experience in a housekeeping or laundry role
- A positive and friendly attitude towards guests, customers, and fellow employees
- Must be extremely detailed with outstanding communication skills
- Ability to follow directions both written and verbally
- Integrity to safeguard confidential information
- Demeanor to remain calm in tense or stressful situations
- Initiative to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Flexible schedule
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on occasion
- Must be able to push or pull a minimum of 100 pounds

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
EXPERIENCE/ LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
2+ years of housekeeping experience, preferable in hospitality
A valid driver's license
SCHEDULE / HOLIDAYS/ PTO:
The Housekeeping Supervisor schedule can be flexible with full time opportunities. Working days, evenings, weekends and holidays may be required. The Housekeeping Supervisor will typically be available during peak seasons, typically taking PTO and vacations during slower seasons.
