Job Description

HR Administrative Assistant & Events Coordinator

Lynden Door | Lynden, WA

Lynden Door has an immediate opening for an HR Administrative Assistant and Events Coordinator based in Lynden, WA. Are you highly organized, people-focused, and energized by both structure and creativity? Lynden Door is seeking a professional who enjoys supporting others while helping create meaningful employee experiences across the organization.

This is an in-office position, and requires the ability and willingness to present to smaller groups (12) and periodically speak in large group settings (500) in addition to professional administrative experience in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

This unique role blends HR administration with event coordination—offering variety, purpose, and the opportunity to contribute to a positive and supportive workplace culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Support daily HR operations, employee communications, and recordkeeping.
  • Assist with onboarding, welcome classes, and employee development efforts.
  • Plan and coordinate company events, celebrations, and recognition programs.
  • Manage event logistics including scheduling, vendors, and materials.
  • Help create a welcoming and well-organized experience for employees.

Qualifications

  • Willingness and ability to present to small groups (approx. 12 employees) on a weekly basis.
  • Confidence and professionalism to deliver announcements and instructions to large groups (up to 500 employees) multiple times per year.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, following up with a high number of people and keeping track of work completed and work-in-process.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Positive, respectful, and team-oriented approach.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Bilingual (English/ Spanish) preferred, not required - English only applicants encouraged to apply.
  • HRIS experience is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $23 - 26/Hr DOE.
  • Several comprehensive medical benefit plan options including PPO and employer Health Savings Account contributions for applicable plans from $500-$1500 annually.
  • 2 weeks PTO and 8 paid holidays.
  • 401(k) access at 90 days, including profit-share eligibility after 1 calendar year of service.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, typically 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Occasional flexibility and approximately two Saturdays per year.
