Location: Detroit, MISchedule: Fully Onsite, Monday – FridayShift Options: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PMPay Rate: $22.00 - $24.00 per hourEmployment Type: Contract-to-Hire

What You'll Do
As an HR Administrator, you will support both the administrative and operational functions of the Human Resources team while serving as a key resource for employees and managers.
HR Administration & Employee Support
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR-related questions and inquiries.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with onboarding activities, orientation scheduling, and new hire documentation.
- Support employee status changes, benefits administration, and leave management processes.
- Coordinate HR communications and employee engagement initiatives.
Employee Relations & Culture
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees and leadership.
- Support employee relations matters by assisting with investigations, documentation, and policy interpretation.
- Assist with employee recognition, wellness, engagement, and team-building programs.
- Help foster a positive workplace culture and employee experience.
Talent Acquisition & Development
- Assist with recruiting activities, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
- Coordinate onboarding and training programs for new hires.
- Support learning and development initiatives and compliance training programs.
HR Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain HR reports, metrics, and tracking spreadsheets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR best practices.
- Assist with audits, documentation reviews, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Support compensation, payroll, and benefits-related processes as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources, Administrative Support, Customer Service, or a related field.
- Strong customer service mindset with a positive, professional attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Strong willingness to learn and grow within Human Resources.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous HR experience supporting employee relations, onboarding, benefits, or recruitment.
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, ADP, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of labor relations or union environments.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certifications.
- Multilingual skills are a plus.
