The Thermal Acoustical Solutions segment offers a full line of innovative engineered products to assist in noise and heat abatement within the automotive and industrial markets. The business manufactures acoustical damping and thermal insulating solutions comprised of fiber and metal based composite product constructions. These products are typically found in the interior (dash insulators), underbody (wheel well, fuel tank, exhaust) and under hood (engine compartment) of passenger vehicles, heavy duty trucks, recreational vehicles as well as in other industrial applications. The segment employs approximately ~1400 employees with operations in the U.S., Germany, France and China.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a collaborative and solutions‑focused HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support managers and employees across the organization. This role provides HR guidance, data insights, and hands-on support in compensation, employee relations, HRIS, reporting, talent management, culture, and HR process improvements. The HRBP is a trusted advisor who helps managers navigate people-related matters and strengthen team performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to managers on employee relations issues, performance management, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation
  • Conduct fair, timely investigations and support documentation requirements.
  • Coach managers on effective communication and team engagement.
  • Assist with annual compensation reviews, job leveling, benchmarking, and pay equity checks.
  • Ensure compensation decisions aligning with market data and internal equity guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate employee data and support HRIS workflows.
  • Produce reports and dashboards (headcount, turnover, engagement, talent metrics).
  • Interpret data and present insights that help managers make informed decisions.
  • Support the performance review cycle, goal setting, and development planning.
  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, and talent assessments.
  • Identify skill gaps and collaborate on training and development solutions.
  • Partner with managers to improve engagement, recognition, communication, and team culture.
  • Support action plans following engagement surveys.
  • Promote inclusion and consistency in HR practices.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes and employee experience.
  • Maintain SOPs, documentation, workflows, and standardization.
  • Support HR initiatives, policy updates, HRIS improvements, and organizational change projects.
  • Ensure employment practices comply with applicable laws and company policies.
  • Support audits and maintain proper employee records.
  • Assist with policy development and rollout

Required Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities for Consideration as a Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of HR generalist or HRBP experience.
  • Strong understanding of employee relations, talent management, compensation basics, and HR operations.
  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint- Intermediate to expert-level experience
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and HR reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority and build trusted relationships.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong attention to detail.

Preferred or Additional, Experience, Education, Skills and Abilities:

  • SHRM-CP Certification
  • Automotive industry
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
