Job Description
Summary
We are looking for a detail-obsessed HR Data Operations Supervisor to lead our regional data entry team. You will be the "gatekeeper" of our HRIS (Workday), ensuring that every new hire, transfer, and employee change across the US and Canada is processed with 100% accuracy and in compliance with local regulations. This role is perfect for a leader who enjoys high-volume workflow management, process auditing, and coaching a team to maintain gold-standard data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a small, cross-border team of Data Specialists; manage daily intake volumes to ensure all onboarding and data entry meets strict deadlines.
Data Integrity & Audit: Conduct rigorous audits of all Workday entries (new hires, job changes, terminations) to ensure data matches source documents and payroll requirements.
Process Architecture: Evaluate current manual data entry steps and identify opportunities to use Workday functionality to automate or "error-proof" the process.
Cross-Border Compliance: Serve as the US/Canada Lead for data onboarding; ensure E-Verify compliance in the US and proper provincial data capture for Canadian hires.
Stakeholder Resource: Partner closely with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Benefits to resolve data bottlenecks and ensure a "white-glove" onboarding experience for new employees.
Training & Documentation: Own the "Source of Truth" manual; create clear, step-by-step guides for the team and HR Partners on how to execute Workday transactions.
What You Bring to the Team
The "Workday" Edge: Significant experience navigating Workday HCM is highly preferred. You should understand how a data entry error in HR impacts downstream systems like Payroll and Benefits.
Supervisory Experience: Proven ability to manage a team's workload, provide constructive feedback, and maintain morale in a fast-paced, repetitive data environment.
High-Stakes Accuracy: You are the person who catches the typo everyone else missed. You understand that "close enough" isn't an option for HR data.
Multi-National Context: Familiarity with the differences between US and Canadian hiring documentation (e.g., I-9/E-Verify vs. Social Insurance Number protocols) is a major plus.
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years in HR Operations, HRIS, or Data Management.
Leadership: At least 1-2 years of experience leading a team or serving as a formal "Lead" in a high-volume data environment.
Education: Degree or Diploma in Business, HR, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Travel: Ability to travel in Canada and the United States on occasion as required.
We thank you for your interest. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
