Job Description
Payrate: $20.00 - $22.00/hr.Summary:The main function of this position is to perform administrative functions, such as employee benefits, recruiting, and interviewing, along with strategic planning and policy management. The role is responsible for enhancing company productivity, increasing performance, and improving business results.Responsibilities:
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related problems.
- Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment.
- Plan and conduct new hire orientation.
- Support HR manager with gathering necessary documents and paperwork for refereeing disputes and administering disciplinary procedures.
- Act as a first point of contact for employees, line managers, and HR management to address inquiries/issues across HR programs, policies, and systems (including benefits, employee relations, staffing, and compensation).
- Provide general HR administrative support to HR Centers of Excellence and business partners.
- Manage and update HR information of employees within HCM.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as necessary, including various HR metrics.
- Assist with queries and projects related to the HCM and HR Portal.
- Document all inquiries (phone calls/emails/requests) and escalate complex cases to appropriate SME groups.
- Meet defined SLA metrics for providing accurate, consistent, and timely responses to HR process, policy, and systems inquiries.
- Assist in the continuous development and improvement of HR information and processes.
- Support ad hoc projects and activities related to the HR department.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.
- 0-2 years related experience required, including HR administration, payroll, and business support.
- Knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action).
- Knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively.
- Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft business applications software, particularly MS Excel.
- Business process/data processing experience within ERP HCMs, Workday preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize, handle multiple priorities, and maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Ability to multi-task and make independent decisions within established guidelines relating to the performance of day-to-day duties.
