The HR Generalist / Business Partner will:
- Perform Generalist duties for assigned region of the company
- Act as a strategic partner to operational departments
- Provide complex HR support and guidance to managers
- Work with managers to develop people strategies across assigned branches and departments
- Assist with full-cycle recruitment process
- Work with hiring managers on interviewing and hiring best practices
- Facilitate employee on-boarding and training
- Counsel managers on supervisory concerns including disciplinary/corrective actions and employee development
- Coordinate employee payroll changes with accounting department
- Resolve employee requests, complaints, and problems courteously and promptly
- Proactively work to improve employee engagement, retention and overall job satisfaction
Remote/Hybrid work is available for this position, although some in-office time will be required. Our HR team is based out of our corporate headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland, however this position can be performed remotely from any state within our company's existing footprint.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred
- Three to five (3-5) years of progressively responsible HR experience
- PHR or SHRM-CP Certification strongly preferred
- Experience with full-cycle recruitment, employee relations, and payroll support
- Demonstrated success working with managers to improve employee performance and engagement
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, high attention to detail and accuracy
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability
- Thorough knowledge of Federal/State employment laws and regulations
