Job Description

HR Generalist – Employee RelationsOverview Make an impact beyond traditional HR. As an HR Generalist – Employee Relations, you’ll be the go-to Employee Relations partner for leaders across a multi-site territory between Winston-Salem and Asheville, NC. This is a people-focused role where you coach managers before concerns escalate, support performance and workplace conflict solutions, and help ensure consistent, compliant HR practices across locations. If you enjoy getting out in the business, building trust on the ground, and strengthening teams through practical guidance, you’ll thrive here.Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field *
  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with significant Employee Relations responsibility *
  • Proven ability to coach managers through employee relations and performance issues *
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
  • Experience supporting multiple locations or geographically dispersed operations *
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills *
  • Ability to influence leaders and build credibility at all levels *
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills *
  • Ability to prioritize multiple issues in a fast-paced environment *
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory (up to approximately 75%)
Nice to Have Skills
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or similar HR certification *
  • Experience supporting retail, manufacturing, distribution, hospitality, healthcare, or other multi-site operations
  • Experience using UKG or comparable HRIS platforms *
  • Project management experience *
  • Bilingual Spanish
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field *
  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with meaningful Employee Relations exposure and manager coaching responsibilities
Other Requirements
  • Regular travel to store locations within the territory *
  • Some overnight travel and multiple days at a time may be required *
  • You will use your own car and will be reimbursed for mileage
  • This role includes an expectation of being present in the field to support leaders and employees
