Job Description
• The Human Resources Generalist position requires an organized, multitasking and detail oriented individual. Due to the direct contact with sensitive topics and materials, this individual is expected to maintain good objectivity, be discreet and maintain the highest level of confidentiality. The HR Generalist is the Business Partner for areas and is the key contact regarding daily HR functions including but not limited to application processes, benefit administration, company policies and disciplinary actions.• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for performing the following duties:• Process & Track LOAs and prepare weekly LOA report to HR Director• Process weekly PTO/FH (PAFs) to Payroll• Assist with training and communications to employees in the field.• Respond to a high level and volume of daily information and communications.• Perform all required background checks on potential new hires.• Maintain personnel records including but not limited to applicants/new hires, disciplinary actions, accidents, damages and terminations.• Maintain benefit records including but not limited to enrollment forms and supporting documentation, benefit deductions and doctors notes. • Assist with benefit open enrollment.• Compile data from personnel records and prepare reports as needed.• Enter and update information in ADP Workforce Now.• Maintain I-9 forms and complete E-verify.• Assist the Director of Human Recourses with the communication and implementation of policies/procedures, benefits and any updated information regarding the HR Department. • Schedule meetings and training. • Prepare Salary analysis for employees in the field promoted from non-exempt to exempt status. • Ensure that all offices/managers are provided current hiring information. Such as applications, handbooks, benefit enrollment forms, etc. • Conduct new hire orientation at the Corporate Office (when needed). • Perform projects as assigned by the Director of Human Resources. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Education and Experience• College degree preferred.• 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources required.• 1-2 years of experience of providing support to employee benefit plans.• QUALIFICATIONS• Basic knowledge of ADA, EEOC, FMLA and other employment rights regulations.• Intermediate to advance level of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.• Previous experience with HRIS software.• Experience in dealing with confidential information.• Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.• Dependable and trustworthy.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to use analytical thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
