HR Investigator

Position Description:

• Investigate workplace complaints between employees, raised through internal company channels by taking statements from hourly employees on their complaints. This includes: preparing case files, writing questions based on the complaint, interviewing the complainant, interviewing witnesses, interviewing the person of interest (POI), creating and updating the investigation summary
• Prepare, track, and maintain appropriate investigation documentation.
• Manage employee data and statements in a highly confidential manner.
• Foster an effective, inclusive work environment/culture and relationships, balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company goals and values.
• Provide support to salaried personnel, as appropriate
• Support all health and safety requirements of employees, as applicable

• Employee Relations, Microsoft Outlook, Employee Engagement, Communications

• Labor Relations, Microsoft Excel

• 5 or more years of experience of conducting complex employee investigations, including interviewing complainants, witnesses and the person of interest (accused), and dispositioning the case, and overall case management
• 2 or more years of experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

• Working in a manufacturing and/or unionized environment
• Experience with typing statements as employees are giving their accounts of what happened

• Bachelor's Degree

• This is an Onsite position
• Candidates must agree to be flexible with their schedule, as some investigations are from employees who work the evening or weekend shifts.
• It is expected the Investigator will be able to flex their schedule to work into the evening shift, as needed, or even a Saturday if required.
