What we are looking for:
We're looking for an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to lead People operations across Europe and Asia-Pacific. This role flexible to be based in either Hoofddorp, Netherlands or Frankfurt, Germany or Stockholm, Sweden. This role supports employees across the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Malaysia, and other growing regions.
As Airspace continues to expand internationally, this role will play a critical part in scaling our People function and enhancing the employee experience across regions. You'll serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief of Staff and collaborate closely with our HR Director to ensure global alignment on policies, programs, systems, and best practices.

Role Description & Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and scale the HR function for Airspace's Europe and APAC operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and a consistent employee experience across all regions.
- Manage and coach the HR Officer in Malaysia, providing mentorship, guidance, and alignment on company-wide initiatives and HR best practices.
- Partner with global HR counterparts to align policies, programs, and systems for a cohesive, one-Airspace approach to People operations.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief of Staff and senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and HR best practices.
- Partner with Global Payroll Specialist ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Oversee global benefits administration, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and a seamless, efficient experience for employees across all countries.
- Enhance company culture by promoting engagement, recognition, and collaboration across distributed teams.
- Build strong relationships with managers and employees, providing expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Develop and refine policies and procedures that improve efficiency, compliance, and the employee experience, ensuring alignment with global standards.
- Partner with Senior Corporate Recruiter and help drive recruiting efforts and liaise with hiring managers to align on hiring strategies and support local recruitment efforts.
- Drive sustainable HR system management (e.g., Rippling), ensuring data integrity and consistent adoption across all regions.
- Ensure adherence to all local labor laws and regulations, particularly Dutch labor law (knowledge of German and Swedish labor law is a plus).
- Foster a strong cross-regional partnership between Europe, APAC, and U.S. headquarters to share insights, promote consistency, and advance company-wide initiatives.
- Drive change management efforts and act as a culture ambassador, ensuring Airspace remains a safe, compliant, and equitable workplace.
Ideal Background and Skills:
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience within Europe and Asia; experience working for multinational corporations preferred
- BA/BS degree (or equivalent) in Human Resource Management or related field
- High proficiency with HR information systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office / Google Suite applications and comfort using data to complete analyses, drive recommendations and provide executive-level reporting
- Must be fluent in English and Dutch languages. German language skills are a plus
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; comfortable working with senior business partners on a daily basis
- Strong project management experience coupled with self-motivation and ability to effectively prioritize to meet business needs
- Positive attitude and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with people from different geographies and backgrounds
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: €75,000 - €85,000 or local equivalent
