Hands-on HR leadership role with a rapidly growing national beauty retail brand headquartered in Dallas, TX, operating 100+ stores nationwide. Own day-to-day HR operations and multi-state compliance for corporate headquarters and an expansive, geographically dispersed retail workforce. Ideal for an execution-focused HR professional who thrives administering ADP HRIS/payroll, employee relations, and benefits in a fast-paced retail environment.[Key Responsibilities]
Maintain, update, and enforce full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across 100+ retail locations in multiple states. Serve as the hands-on administrator for the company's HRIS and payroll infrastructure via ADP, ensuring seamless multi-state payroll tracking, tax allocations, and data integrity. Lead objective investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, or grievances; partner with regional and store managers to administer progressive discipline, PIPs, and compliant terminations. Administer corporate and field employee benefits programs, including medical insurance, open enrollment, and PTO policies. Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks aligned with applicable laws and company standards. Partner with store and regional leadership to support onboarding, performance management, and workforce planning. Provide HR availability and on-call response during peak weekend retail hours to address urgent field incidents or employee relations matters[Skills & Qualifications]
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (SHRM-CP or PHR a strong plus). 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in an HR management role; retail, hospitality, or multi-site experience highly preferred. Hands-on ADP Workforce Now experience required for daily payroll, benefits, and data management.
Proven track record managing a W-2 hourly and salaried workforce across multiple states, with deep knowledge of state-specific wage, hour, and leave laws. Strong background conducting structured investigations and executing disciplinary protocols to mitigate employer risk. Ability to work 100% onsite in Dallas, TX, with flexibility for weekend on-call availability during high-volume retail hours. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.[About JND]
