Job Details
We’re looking for a highly motivated, hands-on HR Manager who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. This is not a traditional HR role—you’ll be building the function from the ground up while also supporting broader business operations. You’ll partner closely with leadership to develop scalable people processes, foster a strong company culture, and ensure operational excellence across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesHR Strategy & InfrastructureDesign and implement HR systems, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Develop and maintain the employee handbook, ensuring compliance and alignment with company valuesEstablish onboarding and offboarding processes that create a seamless employee experienceEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Talent & CultureLead recruiting efforts across departments, from sourcing to onboardingDrive employee engagement initiatives and build a strong internal communityPartner with leadership to support performance management, coaching, and developmentChampion company culture and help define core values and behaviors
Leadership SupportAct as a strategic partner to executive leadership on organizational design and people strategyProvide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and team developmentSupport leadership in building high-performing, aligned teamsOperations & Cross-Functional SupportAssist with operational functions such as basic accounting coordination, budgeting support, and vendor managementPlan and execute company events, fitness activations, and community initiativesOversee office operations, ensuring an organized and productive work environmentSupport ad hoc projects across departments as needed
Qualifications5+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or similar roles (startup or high-growth environment preferred)Proven experience building HR processes and systems from scratchStrong understanding of employment law and HR best practicesHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesComfortable wearing multiple hats and stepping outside traditional HR responsibilitiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPassion for fitness, wellness, or bodybuilding culture is a strong plus
