Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on HR Manager to join a growing biotech/pharmaceutical startup during an exciting phase of expansion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, build-from-scratch environments and brings strong experience supporting manufacturing operations within regulated industries. Partner with manufacturing leadership to support plant operations and workforce planning
Lead recruitment efforts for manufacturing, operations, quality, and corporate hires
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as industry regulations and HR best practices
Support payroll, benefits administration, and leave management processes
Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, SOPs, and employee programs appropriate for a startup environment
Drive employee engagement initiatives and help foster a positive, high-performance culture
Handle employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
Maintain accurate employee records and HR reporting metrics
Collaborate with leadership on organizational growth, retention strategies, and process improvements Profile5+ years of HR experience, with significant experience supporting manufacturing environments
Prior experience within biotech, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated industries strongly preferred
Experience working in startup or high-growth environments is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
Experience supporting hourly and salaried employee populations
Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization
Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferredHR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) is a plus Job OfferTemp-to-perm opportunity with long-term growth potential
