What is it that we do at Colonial Pipeline Company?

Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.

About the HR Operations Analyst Position

At Colonial Pipeline Company, our people are at the center of everything we do. As an HR Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing HR operational processes that impact the employee lifecycle and external workforce program. This position partners with stakeholders across Human Resources, Legal, Procurement, Finance, IT, vendors, and business teams to deliver efficient, compliant, and high-quality HR services. You will help drive operational excellence through process improvements, workforce administration, analytics, and documentation while supporting a consistent and positive user experience.

What You Get to Do

  • Analyze, support, and improve HR operational processes to drive efficiency, compliance, and service excellence.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that enhance employee and manager experience.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor key HR workflows, procedures, and operational controls.
  • Provide operational support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, job changes, and offboarding activities.
  • Administer and support the contingent workforce program, including contractor onboarding, extensions, changes, and offboarding.
  • Serve as a liaison between hiring managers, suppliers, managed service providers, and other workforce partners.
  • Create and maintain job aids, standard operating procedures, process maps, and user documentation.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret workforce and operational data to support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics related to HR operations and contingent workforce activities.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, management reporting, and governance activities.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in HR operations, onboarding, contingent workforce management, or related areas.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to cultivate healthy and effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Compliance and risk awareness with the ability to maintain accurate records, documentation, and process controls.

Skills That Set You Apart

  • Experience working with vendor management systems, such as VNDLY, and HR systems.
  • Experience supporting contingent workforce programs and vendor or supplier relationships.
  • Process improvement and operational excellence mindset.
  • Stakeholder and vendor management experience.
  • Documentation and knowledge management experience, including SOPs, job aids, process maps, and user documentation.
  • Reporting, dashboard, workforce analytics, and trend-identification experience.
  • Self-driven approach with the ability to think creatively and identify scalable solutions.
