Your Role on Our Team:

As an HR Shared Services Generalist on the HR Shared Services team, you will support both the Talent Team and be the initial point of contact for employees. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient, consistent, and scalable service delivery across the organization and is responsible for assisting in the execution of multi-areas of Talent and managing employee data in HRIS systems.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

Workday and HRIS Support:

  • Own and resolve employee inquiries through Workday Help Cases and phone support, delivering high-quality resolutions related to benefits, payroll, time/attendance, and company policies.
  • Manage and complete Workday tasks within established service-level expectations.
  • Document and track inquiries and resolutions in the Workday Help Case system, maintaining detailed records; creating and improving resources for Talent and the business.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and responsiveness in all interactions.
  • Escalate complex issues to the Shared Services Supervisor or appropriate HR SMEs.
  • Maintain and contribute to up-to-date knowledge of Talent policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure accurate and consistent responses.
  • Conduct employee data audits to ensure data integrity across Talent Acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, training and development, and HR operations.
  • Generate employee data reports to support business initiatives and cross-functional projects.

Employee Onboarding and Employment Eligibility:

  • Support the new hire onboarding process in Workday, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data flow issues across Milwaukee Tool systems in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Complete Form I-9 verification and manage employment eligibility processes, including re-verification for expiring work authorization.
  • Partner with employees to obtain required documentation and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • Resolve tentative non-confirmations in E-Verify in accordance with the rules and regulations.

Compliance, Auditing and Data Integrity:

  • Maintain employee records in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform regular audits of HR data to identify discrepancies.
  • Ensure data integrity across systems related to onboarding, compensation, benefits, and Talent lifecycle events.
  • Support reporting needs for business initiatives and cross-functional projects.

Employee Experience & Communications

  • Partner with Culture/Employee Experience teams to support engagement initiatives and employee programs.
  • Coordinate logistics and communications for employee events, recognition programs, and internal initiatives.
  • Draft, review, and send out employee communications in partnership with Centers of Excellence (COE) Team.

Training and Talent Support:

  • Develop and/or facilitate training sessions on our processes, systems, and best practices (Workday, UKG, I-9 processes).
  • Create documentation and tools to support knowledge sharing across Talent teams.
  • Identify training opportunities based on audit findings and business needs.
  • Support Talent Acquisition, Learning, and Management teams with HRIS data and operational needs.

The TOOLS you'll bring with you:

  • This position requires an associate degree in Business Administration and/or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years of working experience with HRIS and Data Auditing
  • A demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • An outstanding attention to detail, organization, time management, and follow-up skills
  • A high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Proficiency in Excel

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

  • Previous experience in an office environment
  • Previous experience in Workday and Kronos/UKG
