Job Description

EnerMech is a leading specialist engineering services company delivering integrated solutions for complex energy and infrastructure projects and operating assets. Our business is built around providing critical services that support our customers throughout the lifecycle of their assets, combining technical expertise, operational excellence and a strong commitment to safety.

With operations across key energy regions worldwide, our people work in some of the most challenging and exciting environments in the industry. At EnerMech, we believe our people are at the heart of our success, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where talented individuals can develop, contribute and build rewarding careers.

The Role

We are looking for an HR Advisor – Americas to join our HR team, providing hands-on HR support to employees and leaders across the Americas, with a primary focus on our U.S. operations.

This is a broad generalist role offering exposure across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the wider HR team and operational leaders, you will support everything from employee relations and recruitment through to onboarding, performance management, HR systems and workforce compliance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being close to the business, working in a fast-paced operational environment and taking ownership of day-to-day HR activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide practical day-to-day HR advice, guidance and support to employees and managers.
  • Support employee relations, performance management and a broad range of general HR matters.
  • Coordinate recruitment, new-hire orientation, onboarding, employee changes and offboarding activities.
  • Partner closely with operational teams to support workforce requirements and employee compliance.
  • Assist with benefits, payroll-related matters, HR systems and the maintenance of accurate employee records.
  • Support offshore and field workforce requirements, including training, medical certifications and drug-testing programmes.
  • Work collaboratively with HR colleagues across the Americas to support regional initiatives and promote consistent HR practices.
  • Build strong working relationships with employees and leaders, providing responsive and professional HR support.
  • Support continuous improvement of HR processes, systems and ways of working.

What We’re Looking For

You will be a practical and approachable HR professional who enjoys working with both people and operations. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, taking ownership of day-to-day HR matters and building credible relationships across different levels of the organisation.

Ideally, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of HR experience, ideally within a generalist or HR advisory role.
  • Good working knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management and HR operations.
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word, together with the ability and willingness to use AI tools effectively.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Confidence working with employees, managers and senior stakeholders.
  • A high level of professionalism, sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential information.

Experience within oil & gas, energy services, industrial, engineering, offshore or another operational environment would be advantageous.

Previous exposure to ADP, payroll support, offshore or field workforce compliance, or drug-testing programmes such as DISA would also be beneficial, but is not essential.

Why Join EnerMech?

At EnerMech, you will join a global organisation where HR works closely with the business and has the opportunity to make a genuine operational impact. You will be part of a collaborative Americas HR team while gaining broad exposure to an international organisation and a diverse workforce.

If you are looking for an HR role where you can take ownership, develop your experience and work closely with both employees and operational leaders, we would like to hear from you.
