Job Description

The HR Systems Analyst plays a crucial role at Spire Global, supporting the HR Operations team and touching every part of the employee experience. This position involves developing and executing project plans, managing programs from inception to completion, system administration and data analysis. This role combines elements of data visualization, data connectivity, HR systems management and process management that includes partnering with global teams to understand the needs of the candidate, employee and manager to create and execute a positive experience that promotes a sense of belonging from talent acquisition through offboarding.

A key aspect of the role involves building dashboards, connecting data and reporting. The HR Systems Analyst will also streamline HR processes, automate manual tasks, build new processes (both in systems and creating SOPs) and trouble shoot/problem solve system issues. When necessary, the role will also evaluate and implement HR platforms and provide training. This role will manage day to day inquiries and issues (ticketing), conduct data audits, manage system administration, and foster relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective HR Operations support.

Ideal candidates should enjoy working with systems, doing research, figuring out creative or new ways of presenting data and improving processes. In the past, the candidate may have worked with some coding (example, Python or HTML), however it may not have been the primary focus of their role. How systems work, interact with other systems and the end user experience will be interesting to the candidate. The ability to switch quickly between projects, diverse tasks and creative problem-solving are key.

Data Visualization, Analysis and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain HR metrics dashboards.
  • Identify and analyze trends and patterns within HR data to support decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate data collection and reporting processes.
  • Automate and provide ongoing reporting for various metrics, processes and team needs.
  • Create and deliver ad-hoc reports and analysis as requested by the HR team and other stakeholders.

Systems Management:

  • Own and maintain the HRIS system entirely (Rippling).
  • Understand the structure of platforms and manage HR platforms.
  • Maintain data integrity with HR platforms and systems via auditing, following up with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
  • Work closely with the HR team to pinpoint and implement system improvements, such as data updates, workflow creation, and other enhancements.
  • Handle routine processes including new hire additions, system permissions, user access, personalization, data auditing, and backend configurations.

Project & Program Management:

  • Develop detailed project plans, manage timelines, and achieve milestones across multiple projects. Provide insights on project timelines and communicate these to internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Facilitate project update meetings, ensuring all decisions and discussions are well-documented.
  • Oversee program(s) from origin to completion, collaborating with the HR Team and/or business lines to define program requirements, reporting standards, and communication strategies.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for processes, reports, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with various teams including Communications, Branding, Learning and Development, HR Partners, IT, and more, to drive HR operational excellence.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with HR Partners and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
  • Present findings and recommendations to various stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Who You Are:

You enjoy working with systems, doing research, figuring out creative or new ways of presenting data and improving processes. In the past, you may have done some light coding with Python or HTML. You love to understand how systems work, interact with other systems and the end user experience will be of primary importance to you. The ability to switch quickly between projects, diverse tasks and creative problem-solving are key.

  • Demonstrated experience with the MS365 Suite.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with: SharePoint, Excel, PowerBI, Power Automate, Teams, Forms
  • General skills with: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Planner, One Note, Viva Engage
  • Some coding experience with Python, HTML or similar
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing SOPs
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proven research skills and the ability to operate independently.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of presenting ideas and results to various stakeholders, as well as workshop ideas/processes to reach a final result.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for details.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with ATS (Greenhouse), HRIS (Rippling and BambooHR) or similar systems.

Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in the office.
