Job Description

HSE Manager

Location: Riverside, CA

Position reports to: HR Business Partner

Pay: 95K - 110K depending on experience

Position Purpose:

Ensure that all Safety and Environmental related activities are carried out in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and to ensure that the company complies with all Environmental, Health and Safety regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • While everyone at Luxfer owns safety, be the point person in the facility with anything related to policy, procedure and compliance aspects related to Health Safety and Environment.
  • Review, maintain and improve all programs and procedures to ensure that the Company complies with OSHA and environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate Luxfer Health, Safety and Environmental training, awareness and improvement program. This includes monthly training processes, deployment and reinforcement of behavioral safety. processes and HSE audits coupled with improvement planning.
  • Prepare inspection reports, generate corrective actions.
  • Storm water, Industrial User, SCAQMD; Complete applications for required permits.
  • Generate and maintain monthly and yearly reports.
  • Provide energy, focus and drive to continuously improve our systems and processes.
  • Lead our business wide safety team.
  • Maintain ISO 14001 certification.
  • Work with Worker’s Compensation insurance provider to manage all claims.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & Safety Sciences (or related field) strongly preferred or extensive work experience in the HS&E field.
  • Minimum 3 years working in a manufacturing facility with a focus in Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • Previous experience utilizing Behavior Based Safety Principles and/or programs in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering training.
