Position Title: Human Resources Business Partner Position Code: HRBusPtnr-8015

Position Purpose:

All KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports KHI's vision to be among the kindest, highest quality health systems in the country.

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) supports the essential services provided by the Human Resources Department to create an environment that fosters competency, self-development and continued learning to support KHI's mission and vision. The HRBP provides Human Resources support across designated business units to include, but not limited to, areas of employee relations, performance management, policies and procedures and employee engagement. The HRBP handles all employee relations issues in areas of responsibility including but not limited to reviewing/approving performance improvement plans, performance management, and handling complaints all the way through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partners directly with leaders and generate solutions to their people and organizational challenges; builds partnerships with management by identifying human resource solutions that support the current and future needs of KHI, including assisting in department restructures, organizational design, and succession planning; works with management, peers, and other HR colleagues to ensure consistency across the organization relating to policies and/or practices.
  • Maintains current knowledge of KHI policies and state and federal employment laws; ensures compliance with licensing bodies and all federal, state, and local laws; maintains understanding and knowledge of business operations by attending staff meetings and being visible to employees and management.
  • Provides guidance on the corrective action process, serving as subject matter expert in relation to KHI policies and applicable state/federal employment laws; conducts investigations pertaining to policy and employment law violations and provides guidance to leadership for corrective action.
  • Interacts with diverse personalities and proactively addresses difficult situations; provides management coaching/counseling and career development advice for employees; assists employees and leadership by providing guidance that is consistent with KHI values.
  • Collaborates with KHI leaders and the Total Rewards/Talent Acquisition teams to develop and revise position descriptions ensuring compliance with applicable laws and licensing bodies.
  • Analyzes turnover and exit interview data to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations; manages unemployment claims and represents KHI in unemployment hearings; handles workforce planning involving re-deployment opportunities and reductions in staff.
  • Conducts training on various HR topics; collaborates with Organizational Development to create and facilitate leadership training programs.
  • Leverages workforce data, employee feedback, engagement surveys, and other people metrics to identify organizational trends, risks, and opportunities; develops and presents recommendations to leadership to improve retention, engagement, productivity, and workforce effectiveness.
  • Partners with leaders to strengthen employee engagement and workplace culture by facilitating action planning, supporting change management initiatives, and promoting programs that enhance employee experience, performance, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of department and organization.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

Experience: Two (2) years of experience in HR in addition to above degree;

OR Five (5) years of experience as an HR Business Partner, Associate HR Business Partner, or Generalist in lieu of degree.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong relationship-building, influencing, and team collaboration skills with the ability to effectively navigate sensitive and complex HR matters.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, sound judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of human resources principles and practices, including employee relations, leadership coaching, organizational development, change management, workforce analytics, and performance management.
  • Ability to analyze issues, develop practical solutions, and recommend improvements to HR programs, policies, and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, HRIS systems, and data management/reporting tools.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, leaders, and executive stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Work Requirements

  • Ability to sit for 6-7 hours daily at a desk and/or computer terminal.

Ability to travel by car to all campuses and clinics in surrounding Kingman area.
