Job Description
Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist supports all core HR functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for employee relations, onboarding, attendance tracking, payroll support, and leave administration, while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Onboarding & Compliance
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation, including scheduling and processing onboarding documentation
- Manage Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9) and maintain compliance with federal requirements
- Maintain accurate and organized employee personnel files
HR Operations & Administration
- Track and manage employee attendance, prepare attendance counseling reports, and support corrective action processes
- Assist with payroll-related activities, including attendance and timekeeping records
- Support internal transfers, job postings, and job evaluations
Employee Relations & Training
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns
- Conduct training sessions for hourly and salaried employees
- Support continuous improvement of training and onboarding programs
Leave & Benefits Administration
- Administer FMLA and other leave programs, including documentation and communication with employees
Additional Duties
- Support company events and employee engagement activities
- Track and manage uniform orders and related needs
- Promote and uphold 5S and workplace organization standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by HR leadership
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels and external partners
- Proven reliability, including strong attendance record
- Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment regulations
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong documentation and administrative skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Education & Experience
- 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
