Job Description
WinnCompanies is looking for an organized and customer service-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our military team at Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes, a 3,985 military housing community located in Fort Drum, NY. In this role, you will also support operations remotely at our CO and CA sites. You will primarily be responsible for providing talent acquisition support, executing weekly payroll activities, serving as liaison for leaves of absences, and ensuring that new hire onboarding is executed in a thorough manner.The pay range for this role is $20.39-$24.00 per hour. The selected candidate will also adhere to a Monday through Friday schedule. In accordance with the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID is required in order to access the federal facility.Responsibilities:
Provide operational talent acquisition support by posting open requisitions, reviewing and screening all applications/resumes, scheduling interviews, creating offer letters and completing miscellaneous administrative support to site leadership and MHS corporate recruiter as needed.Initiate candidate background screen via third-party background screen provider to be reviewed, verified, and adjudicated by Employee Relations team.Assist in the onboarding of new employees in accordance with Winn policies.Serve as a liaison with corporate benefits on leave status tracking and facilitating on site support for workers comp.Attend hiring events forming relationships with local trade schools.Perform payroll-related duties, including weekly/bi-weekly payroll transactions, status changes, timesheet processing, and payroll reminders.Provide support to employees in finding HR information.Assist managers in all aspects of the quarterly bonus program.Coordinate, track, and implement the company's training programs.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.3-5 years of relevant work experience in a recruiting and human resources support position.Experience in recruiting strategies and candidate orientation and onboarding.A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.Experience with various computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.Strong organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Proficiency in relationship building and communication.Ability to manage multiple assignments and work under pressure.In accordance with the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID is required in order to access the federal facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business-related field.1-3 years of human resources or administrative experience.Knowledge of New York State paid family leave processes.Bilingual in English and Spanish.
