Job Description
Summary of Duties:Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other team members, guests and vendors. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members and organizations. Maintain strict privileged, proprietary, guest, and employer confidentiality during and beyond the term of employment. Adhere to all work rules, policies & procedures, and safety standards.Position Purpose:The HR Generalist provides broad support across all areas of human resources, helping to ensure effective HR operations and positive team member experience. This role assists in implementing HR policies, programs, and practices that support the organization's goals and compliance with employment laws.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive team member information in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Respond to team member questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs, or refer inquiries to the appropriate HR leadership when necessary.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the HR department, including maintaining personal records, processing documentation, and managing onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Serve as the point of contact for the recruitment process, managing all phases of the recruitment lifecycle including job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and coordination with hiring managers.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, including conducting team member HR appointments and leading new hire orientations.
- Verify employment eligibility for new hires.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date team member records and files, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Respond to requests for employment verifications.
- Maintain training records and certifications, including but not limited to Food Handler’s Certifications and Liquor Licenses, ensuring all credentials remain current and compliant.
- Input, monitor, and maintain team member work schedules for multiple departments, adjusting schedules as needed to meet business and operational demands.
- Monitor and track team member attendance, process attendance-related actions, and perform point forgiveness in accordance with company policy.
- Monitor and maintain gaming badge renewals to ensure timely completion and regulatory compliance.
- Issue Departmental NOE retraining’s in accordance with established procedures and complete required HR NOE retraining sessions, maintaining proper documentation.
- Serve as backup for all payroll processes in the absence of the HR Manager, ensuring continuity, accuracy, and timely payroll processing.
- Maintain adequate inventory of uniforms and place orders as needed.
- Drive team member engagement and recognition initiatives, including organizing events, managing appreciation programs, and promoting a culture of inclusion and appreciation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/ Qualifications:
- Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous clerical experience required.
- Must be at least 18.
- Requires computer skills.
Work Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
- Requires problem solving skills, interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively, operate a desktop computer.
- Position involves prolonged sitting, standing or walking, stooping or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 30 pounds on a daily basis.
- Work is performed in an office or casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
