Job Description

Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Human Resources Generalist to support multiple sites, while based in Cameron, Louisiana.

General Description:

This position reports to the Human Resources Director, with a dotted‑line reporting relationship to the HR Manager at the Plaquemines facility, and provides administrative support to the Human Resources department. The HR Generalist assists with the day-to-day operations of HR functions and duties, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness in all HR processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administrative onboarding process for all new hires, including entering candidate data from recruiting into relevant HR systems, coordinating pre-employment drug testing and physicals, send pre-employment instruction emails, and issuing first-day communications once screenings are cleared.
  • Oversee laptop requests and schedule first-day safety orientations for contractors to ensure smooth onboarding and compliance with site safety protocols.
  • Verify vacation allotments for non-exempt employees to ensure alignment with offer details and maintain accurate records within onboarding systems.
  • Coordination of annual physicals - maintain scheduling, communication, and compliance tracking.
  • Assist with administering quarterly random drug testing process - includes coordination with third-party vendors, maintaining schedules based on work shifts, and monitoring completion to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with organizing and facilitating first-day orientation activities for employees, including issuance of location based badges, internal notifications, and cross-departmental coordination to ensure readiness for new hire arrival.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented. You can manage several concurrent projects at once, keeping track of the details involved with each and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Collaborative and service-oriented. You greet everyone you encounter with a collaborative spirit, kindness, and empathy. You maintain strong relationships and remain responsive to each team member's unique needs.
  • Growth-oriented. You are always seeking to better yourself and your work, and you will push yourself to the peak of performance to help fulfill our mission. In service of that growth, you welcome and delight in feedback from supervisors, employees and colleagues.
  • Nimble, creative problem solver. Although careful planning and execution define your work, you are positive and graceful when unexpected challenges arise. You are not scared of the challenge of balancing the need for global, unifying systems with the individual needs of our diverse team.
  • Strong communication skills. In addition to your ability to articulate your thoughts clearly and concisely to many different audiences both in writing and verbally, you understand the power of words and have the unique gift of coaching others on how to appropriately express themselves.
  • Technology-minded. You are familiar with modern ATS and HRIS products and are constantly thinking about how to simplify processes with technical solutions.
