Job Description
Position Summary: As a Human Resources Intern, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of HR while supporting the day-to-day operations of Dynamic Aviation's Human Resources team. This role provides exposure to recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compliance, employee engagement, and workforce analytics while completing meaningful projects that contribute to an organized, compliant, and positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources team, including filing, scanning, shredding, organizing records, preparing documents, and maintaining confidential employee informationAssists with HR audits, including I-9 documentation, benefits records, employee files, retention requirements, and other compliance-related documentationSupports recruiting activities by reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and conducting phone screensAssists with new hire onboarding activities, including preparing onboarding materials, reviewing documentation, and supporting new hire orientationSupports benefits administration activities while gaining an understanding of employee benefit programs, enrollment processes, and benefits-related documentationAssists with HR reporting, data collection, and analysis related to workforce trends, retention, turnover, benefits, compliance, and other HR metricsSupports employee engagement initiatives by assisting with the planning, setup, execution, and follow-up of company events, wellness activities, recognition programs, and other employee engagement effortsAssists with maintaining accurate employee information and HR documentation within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and other HR systemsSupports HR compliance activities while gaining exposure to employment laws, company policies, recordkeeping requirements, and HR best practicesAssists with special projects, process improvement initiatives, research, and other HR programs as assignedProvides assistance to employees with day-to-day interactions and questionsMaintains confidentiality and appropriately handle employee, candidate, and company informationOther duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, Communications, or a related fieldInterest in developing a career in Human ResourcesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlinesAbility to work effectively independently and as part of a teamDemonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive informationBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointWillingness to learn new systems, processes, and areas of Human Resources
Preferred Qualifications
Previous internship, administrative, customer service, or office experiencePrevious coursework in Human Resources, employment law, business, data analysis, or a related areaExperience with Microsoft Excel and data analysisFamiliarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) or applicant tracking systemsInterest in recruiting, benefits, HR analytics, compliance, or employee engagement
Additional Requirements
Minimum availability of 10 hours per weekInternship may be completed for academic or class credit in accordance with the student's educational institution requirementsAbility to maintain confidentiality when working with employee, candidate, benefits, and company informationAbility to occasionally assist with company events outside of the primary office environment
Working Conditions
Fully on-site positionInternship hours must be completed Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per weekPrimarily office-based with frequent collaboration with Human Resources employees, managers, employees, candidates, and other departmentsFrequent use of computers, HR systems, Microsoft Office applications, electronic records, and physical employee filesMay occasionally support engagement, wellness, or company events in other areas of the Dynamic Aviation facility or at off-site locations
Pay: $12.77 per hour.
