We safeguard equal rights and respect for all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, creed, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, ancestry, veteran status or other applicable, legally protected characteristics. All Cortica employment decisions are made based on an individual's qualifications and ability to successfully perform the job responsibilities.

What will you do?

  • Lead the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of HR operational processes.
  • Manage and develop a team responsible for HR transactions and data integrity, including coaching, performance management, and participation in hiring and termination decisions.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of HR operations through ongoing monitoring, auditing, and feedback.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, recommend solutions to leadership, and drive implementation of approved initiatives.
  • Oversee documentation and maintenance of HR procedures and employee-facing knowledge resources.
  • Track, analyze, and report on HR Operations key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage employee inquiries across service channels (e.g., ticketing system, phone), ensuring responsive, accurate, and service-oriented support.
  • Maintain data integrity and reporting across HRIS, onboarding, and related systems.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Payroll, IT) to implement systems and process enhancements.
  • Support departmental goal setting and execution of operational strategies.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Travel to local Cortica centers may be required from time to time.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You bring 2 years of experience supervising HR teams.
  • You bring 2 years of experience in HRIS administration.
  • You bring 2 years of experience using a shared services ticketing system.
  • You have experience supporting or leading HR-related technology implementations.
  • You have working knowledge of employment laws and HR practices, including HR records management, background checks, I-9s, and employee separations.
  • You have experience supporting a California workforce (required); multi-state experience preferred.
  • You possess advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • You have a proven ability to interpret data, generate insights, and drive actionable improvements.
  • You have a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
