Job Description
Our client is seeking to fill the position of HVAC Controls Estimator to focus on Commercial and Federal markets. Responsibilities:- Responsible for developing price estimates for materials and labor for HVAC controls projects.- Coordinate bids from customers- Work alongside project design team to learn and apply technologies to meet specified scope.- Write detailed proposals that accomplish the specifications, scope of work, plans, drawings and sequence of operation- Coordinate with Sales and Account managers and attend site visits, pre-bid conferences.- Work with the design team to perform take-offs- Conduct weekly bid board meetings coordinated with sales, engineering, operations and leadership- Responsible for estimating price for materials and labor for projects- Identify cost savings opportunities for bids Qualifications:- 2-3 years' experience in estimating HVAC Controls projects preferred- Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred- Prior HVAC Controls field experience is preferred- Experience in reading and understanding construction specification plans- Must be able to travel up to 35% of the time.- Must be able to pass a federal government background check.- Excellent communication skills- Proficiency in windows suite of products- Experience in CAD, Visio or Bluebeam
