This role requires experience in commercial and industrial HVAC estimating, as well as collaboration with project managers, account executives, and vendors to produce competitive bids. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Perform detailed take-offs and labor cost analysis for HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and controls. 
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive material and labor pricing.  
• Utilize HVAC estimating software to create detailed project proposals.  
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and bid documents to ensure accurate pricing.  
• Support the preparation of bid proposals and cost summaries.  
• Attend pre-bid site visits to understand project conditions. 
• Conduct value engineering reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities.  
• Collaborate with project managers, account executives, and sales team on proposal development.  
• Assist in bid presentations and contract negotiations as needed.  
• Work with the salesperson to secure engineer approval to quote if our products are not listed.  
• Ability to understand customer needs and meet those needs with a successful product sale.  
• Other duties as assigned.  

Experience and Requirements:  

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. 
• Experience: Or 3-5 years in HVAC estimating, preferably in commercial and industrial projects. 
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ductwork design, piping, load calculations, and controls estimating. 
• Software Proficiency: Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, Quick Bid, PlanSwift, BlueBeam and estimating software. 
• Analytical Skills: Ability to assess market trends, labor rates, and risk factors in estimates. 
• Communication Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team. 
• Time Management: Uses time effectively and efficiently. Values time. Concentrates efforts on the more important priorities. Gets more done in less time than others. Can attend to a broader range of activities.  

• While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90 percent of the time while operating their computer and performing office work.  
• The individual needs to occasionally move about inside the office. They constantly operate computers and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and computer printer. They must be able to exchange accurate information with customers and others in the office while interacting.  
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  
• The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and making adjustments as necessary. 

Work Environment: 

• The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The individual frequently works in a controlled climate. The individual may occasionally visit customer job sites.
