HVAC Installer - Class A CDL

Portable Air, LLC is expanding our Operations Team in the Houston, TX area! We specialize in providing temporary climate control and power distribution for industrial sites, tents & events across the Southeastern US.

The HVAC Installer must hold a Class A CDL (CDL/A) to be considered for this position. This role requires installation of temporary equipment in addition to driving. The ideal candidate has open availability to work weekends.

The Job- HVAC Installer with Class A CDL

• Load trucks with appropriate equipment for each job.

• Drive trucks to job sites, efficiently install portable HVAC equipment for customers.

• Return to the shop, unload & clean the trucks, return unused equipment to the appropriate location.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair faulty equipment.

• Ability and willingness to travel away from home for extended periods of time.

• Participation in maintenance of temporary equipment at the shop.

*Sign-On Bonus Payable after 90 days of employment with Portable Air, LLCRelocation bonus is calculated by the relocation distance, payable on the first employee paycheck.

Requirements

Requirements- HVAC Installer with Class A CDL

Heavy lifting, shop work and 25% Southeast US travel is required for this position. On the job training will be provided. Active, unrestricted Class A Commercial Drivers License is required.

• Valid Class A CDL (CDL/A) with a clean driving record.
• High School Diploma/GED
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• On call schedule participation is required.
• Honor employee commitment to a drug-free workplace and pass a federal background check.
• Ability to physically stand for long periods, bend, squat, lift 70 pounds, climb ladders, and work on elevated levels. 
• Effective communication skills with internal and external clients is required.
