Position Overview
TSC Air is seeking a highly experienced HVAC Lead Installer (Level 1) to oversee and execute all aspects of HVAC system installations. This role is responsible for leading installation teams, ensuring top-tier workmanship, and maintaining strict adherence to company standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep technical expertise who can manage projects from start to finish while developing team members and driving performance in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of HVAC system installations from start to completion
- Set the tone for professionalism, accountability, and performance on every job site
- Ensure all team members present themselves professionally in appearance, communication, and workmanship
- Supervise and mentor Level 2 installers, providing hands-on training and support
- Establish clear daily goals and expectations for each installation project
- Monitor progress throughout the day and adjust workflow as needed
- Maintain composure and effectively resolve issues in the field
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for installation quality and completion
- Ensure all work meets TSC Air standards for safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Take full ownership of any callback issues and ensure proper resolution
Core Duties
- Plan, organize, and execute installation projects efficiently
- Assign and delegate tasks based on team strengths and development areas
- Conduct ongoing performance evaluation of team members during installations
- Identify skill gaps and communicate development needs to management
- Provide coaching and training to continuously improve team capabilities
- Maintain consistent communication with team members and leadership
- Identify and address problem areas in real time to avoid delays or quality issues
- Ensure all installations are completed within established timelines and standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage, motivate, and develop installation teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Mastery of all HVAC installation processes and best practices
- Minimum of 200 completed HVAC installations
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
Required Certifications
- EPA Certification (required)
- NATE Certification (required)
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Installation teams achieve a minimum of 30 customer reviews per technician per quarter
- Installations completed within an average 8-hour timeframe
- Maintain zero callbacks on completed installations
- Obtain Master Heat Pump Certification
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $27 to $32 per hour, depending on experience and certifications
- Health and dental insurance with 55% employer contribution
- IRA match up to 3% after one year

Work Schedule
- 40 to 60 hours per week during peak summer season
- 30 to 40 hours per week during off-season
