Job Description

HVAC Maintenance Technician or HVAC Service Technician

Location: Lafayette, IN

Since 1999, JL Anderson Heating & Cooling has proudly served the greater Lafayette and West Lafayette communities with high-quality HVAC service and installation. What started as a local operation has grown into a trusted regional provider, now serving both residential and commercial clients across Lafayette, Zionsville, West Lafayette, Delphi, Dayton, Battle Ground, Frankfort, Monticello, Rossville, and nearby communities.

We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Technician or HVAC Service Technician to join our growing commercial team.

What You'll Do

Diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems
Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and electronic control systems
Perform system startups, testing, and performance checks
Install commercial HVAC equipment and components as needed
Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams
Follow all safety procedures and company standards on every job

What We're Looking For

A minimum of 2 years of HVAC service experience
Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and controls
EPA Universal Certification required, and NATE certifications are a plus
Ability to read blueprints and diagnose complex system issues
Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying conditions
Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
