Hvac Mechanic/Generator Technician - Cell Tower Sites

Infinity Communications Group is seeking a highly motivated, independent HVAC Mechanic to specialize in the installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems on our cellular tower sites. This role is ideal for a self-driven technician who thrives under pressure and can efficiently manage their time across a large geographic territory.

Key Responsibilities

As an HVAC Mechanic, you will be crucial in ensuring the continuous operation of our communication infrastructure.

Installation & Repair

• Install new HVAC units and specialized ductwork/temperature control mechanisms at various cell tower locations.
• Inspect and troubleshoot complex issues within existing HVAC systems to diagnose failures.
• Replace or repair system components and parts as necessary to restore and maintain optimal functionality.
• Maintain accurate inventory of replacement parts and initiate timely orders.

Maintenance & Compliance

• Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks on HVAC systems to ensure uninterrupted service in all environmental conditions.
• Comply strictly with all company and industry safety standards and protocols.
• Perform additional duties related to the maintenance and operation of HVAC equipment on cellular tower sites as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Skills & Abilities

• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and repair manuals.
• Excellent mechanical and analytical skills with a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
• Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate systems.
• Strong ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with supervisors and customers.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Vocational/Technical school training program or relevant apprenticeship required.
• A minimum of two (2) years of related HVAC experience is strongly preferred.

Travel & Schedule

• Travel is a mandatory requirement for this position, requiring 50% to 75% travel time.
• The work schedule is 40 hours per week with flexibility for significant overtime.
• Must be available for on-call duties and have weekend availability as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in environments with extreme cold or extreme heat.
• Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders.
• Must be able to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
