We are Universe Home Services, a proud local business serving homeowners across Nassau and Suffolk counties with expert HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical solutions. Located in Farmingdale.

Now Hiring: Full Time Residential HVAC Oil Heating Technician

You will take the lead in troubleshooting and repair efforts, identifying and diagnosing HVAC issues on oil heating systems for residential clients. Handles warranty services efficiently and responds promptly to perform emergency repairs.

What you Will do:

Service and repair Oil burners, Oil furnaces, and boiler heating systems.
Perform seasonal maintenance and tune-ups on HVAC and oil fired heating systems, including cleaning, inspecting, and testing equipment.
Clean and replace burner components such as oil nozzles.
Perform routine service, emergency repairs, and preventative maintenance for residential clients.
Recommend the best solutions for the customer's heating needs.
Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, parts, and installation teams.
Educate and assist customers in choosing maintenance plans, service options, and any available financing solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

Proven experience with oil heating systems and related equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to explain technical information to customers.
Strong listening and communication skills.
Teamwork oriented.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused work environment.
