Job Description

If you're a seasoned installer turned leader who still isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves, JAGS Mechanical in Columbus and Cincinnati, OH wants you to own the build as our full-time HVAC‑R Construction Manager!

HOW YOU'LL TAKE THE LEAD AS OUR HVAC-R CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

  • Run installs end-to-end: Oversee the installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems from start to finish-on time, within budget, and to JAGS Mechanical standards.
  • Keep everyone aligned: Communicate project updates, manage scheduling logistics, resolve on‑site challenges, and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Bid with confidence: Create accurate, competitive estimates for HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, and similar installs by calculating labor, materials, and equipment-protecting target margins.
  • Lead the crews: Direct and support installation teams in the field. Provide hands‑on guidance, drive productivity, and uphold high workmanship standards.

Where & When You'll Work:

  • On-site role; dispatch daily from home to your job sites (no central reporting)
  • Schedule: Full-time 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday
  • Overtime available; possible overnights; on-call hours as needed
  • Occasional travel: Some case-by-case travel between our Cincinnati and Columbus, OH locations (discussed with you in advance)

OUR IDEAL HVAC-R CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

  • Experience installing commercial-sized equipment, including HVAC, refrigeration, water heaters, and boilers

Preferred: The ability to build quotes-you know how to turn a scope into a sound number.
