About the role:
As a Residential & Commercial HVAC/R Installer, you'll install, replace, and commission HVAC and refrigeration systems while maintaining Triad's standards for quality and safety. You'll work on a variety of projects--residential and light commercial--with refrigeration installs as a plus. If you're dependable, hands-on, and care about doing it right the first time, you'll thrive here.
Key responsibilities:
- Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems (split systems, package units, furnaces, air handlers, heat pumps)
- Install refrigeration equipment when needed (walk-ins, reach-ins, specialty systems--bonus skill)
- Set and connect ductwork, line sets, gas piping, and electrical components
- Ensure installs meet local codes and manufacturer specifications
- Test, start up, and commission systems for proper performance
- Keep job sites and company vehicles clean, organized, and professional
- Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams
- Complete job paperwork and documentation accurately
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years HVAC installation experience (residential and/or commercial)
- Journeyman's License preferred (or ability to obtain)
- EPA Certification required
- Refrigeration installation experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license + clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs; work in attics, crawlspaces, and rooftops
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Reliable, punctual, team-oriented, and takes pride in workmanship
