Role Overview
The Residential HVAC Service Manager leads and supports the service department, ensuring technicians deliver excellent customer experiences while maintaining quality, safety, and performance goals. You will coach technicians, manage day-to-day service operations, and help drive key KPIs like conversion, average ticket, membership growth, and reduced callbacks.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the HVAC service technician team, ensuring strong daily execution
Coach technicians on diagnostics, repair recommendations, customer communication, and professionalism
Partner with dispatch and operations to ensure calls are scheduled efficiently and serviced on time
Drive department performance including revenue, close rate, average ticket, and callback reduction
Handle escalations and customer concerns with urgency and professionalism
Conduct ride-alongs, training, and performance accountability
Ensure proper documentation, job notes, and quality standards are followed
Uphold company policies, safety protocols, and service standards at all times
Qualifications:
24 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean record
Clear background check and pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana)
Proven HVAC service experience (residential preferred)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and hold technicians accountable
Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and customer service mindset
EPA certification and strong understanding of HVAC safety standards
Journeyman License preferred
