Hvac Service Tech

A leading regional provider of energy and HVAC solutions is hiring an HVAC Service & Installation Technician to join its growing team in Lancaster, PA. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the comfort and energy efficiency of residential customers by expertly servicing and installing a wide variety of heating and cooling systems, including heat pumps, boilers, burners, air conditioning units, and ventilation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues using technical expertise and industry best practices.
• Install, maintain, and repair a range of systems, including heating units, heat pumps, and air conditioning units.
• Calibrate systems to manufacturer specifications and clearly communicate repair recommendations to customers.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks while identifying opportunities for system upgrades or accessory installations.
• Maintain proper inventory of parts, tools, and safety equipment within the company vehicle.
• Ensure timely service by communicating scheduling updates to the dispatch team and customers.
• Operate safely and in compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
• Participate in ongoing technical training, safety programs, and professional development offered by the company.
• Accurately document service and installation work, including system diagnostics, part usage, and customer interactions.
• Rotate into the on-call schedule to respond to emergency service needs as required.

Key Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of HVAC training program preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in HVAC service or installation.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, basic electrical, gas piping, ductwork, and airflow.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically demanding tasks including kneeling, climbing, crawling, and lifting tools and equipment.
• Comfortable working independently in residential settings and communicating directly with customers.
• Working knowledge of local HVAC codes and general industry standards.
