Now Hiring: Residential HVAC Service Tech – Great Hours & Big Earning Potential

Tim Whistler Plumbing, Gas Fitting, HVAC & Electrical – Silver Spring, MD 20910

Join a growing, reputable home‑services team in Silver Spring! Tim Whistler Plumbing, Gas Fitting, HVAC & Electrical is hiring an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to deliver top‑tier service to our customers. If you have 5+ years of residential HVAC experience and want steady hours, strong pay, and a supportive team, this is the place for you.

Schedule

  • Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • No on‑call currently (may change in the future)

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose, repair & maintain residential HVAC systems (forced air, boilers, split systems)
  • Perform preventative maintenance & system cleanings
  • Interpret blueprints/schematics for accurate repairs
  • Work in varied environments, including extreme temperatures or confined spaces
  • Maintain service vehicle & complete documentation
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical support

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 5 years of residential HVAC service experience
  • MD HVAC Journeyman’s License and minimally EPA 608 certification
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
  • Familiarity with HVAC tools, equipment & safety protocols
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, and work on your feet
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally
  • Strong communication and customer‑focused mindset
