National Mechanical Experts Inc. is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina.
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality work while maintaining strong customer relationships.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASService, Repairs & Maintenance
- Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment and systems
- Respond to emergency service calls and minimize system downtime
- Maintain appropriate vehicle inventory to complete repairs efficiently
- Complete maintenance logs and job documentation accurately and on time
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding work performed, system conditions, and recommendations
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and identify potential service needs
- Ensure all work meets company standards, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable codes
- Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and customer site requirements
- Identify and address jobsite safety hazards and report concerns as needed
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE and safety equipment
- Perform regular vehicle and equipment safety inspections
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments at all times
- Support and mentor apprentices and junior technicians in the field
- Assist with on-the-job training related to technical skills and safety practices
- Participate in required safety and technical training programs
- Stay current on new equipment, technology, and industry standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade school training or equivalent experience preferred
- Universal EPA Certification required
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
