Job Description

HVAC Service Technician

Red Bear Mechanical is a family-owned company based in Carson City. We service both commercial and residential clients and deliver exceptional service to provide our clients top-quality service in plumbing, heating, and air conditioning.

We are seeking HVAC Service Technicians who can provide service on residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems to company standards. Compensation - Our top techs earn $100,000 plus per year. Base hourly pay with spiffs and bonuses!

Benefits - Health Insurance (100% Company paid for Employee), 8 Paid Holidays including your Birthday, Paid Sick Leave (earned at .01923 per 1 hour worked, not to exceed 40 hours), Paid Vacation Leave - 5 days/40 hours per year, Simple IRA Plan with 3% Employer Match. Additional Insurance option through AFLAC are available.

Schedule - Monday through Friday -with some overtime.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 - 5 years service experience
  • Valid license and insurable driving record
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Previous service and installation experience in HVAC.
  • Willing to conform to company standards, procedures, and policies
  • Ability to lift and carry 100lbs
  • Knowledge of Commercial Package Units, Residential Split Systems, and Boilers
  • Knowledge of Manometers
  • EPA Certification and OSHA10 is a plus!
  • Nate Certification Preferred - must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
